I had to replace the oil galley plug on the pax side back by the firewall so I cut off the stock downpipe and installed a new 3" downpipe. Everything went well but now when I go to start it has become very rough starting. Instead of starting right away it cranks for about 20 seconds before it fires.
Only a few miles on repair. So it sounds like air in the system. Run it hard for a while and it should work itself out. that is good to here. thanks.
Copedawg, The oil galley plug is a plug on the ends of the head that is a major pain to get to. There is one on the front and back of each head and again the one that had a bad o ring on mine is the toughest one to get to of course. So if you get an oil leak dripping down the starter and all over the passenger side of your truck and you think it is the valve cover gasket it is probably the oil galley plug.

Is there such a thing? If so can you explain so I can understand? Thanks
There is a hole drilled all the way through the head from front to back for the HP oil. There are plugs installed after the hole is drilled. These plugs have o rings that can leak, they are a PITA to get to. Especailly the one on the rear of the passenger side head (pax).
Here's a picture showing the fuel galley but you can see the big plug for the oil galley at the top of the picture.
