Door lock actuators

Does anyone have any extra door lock actuators for my 99. I don't think I can rebuild mine as one of the forums explains. Let me know, thanks.

What do you mean that you cant rebuild them. They are not made to be serviceable. You have to break them apart and zip tie and tape them back together

door locks

That was a matter of speech, I know you can't rebuild, but I don't know how to safely tear apart and put back together.
Thanks.

If you read the DIY you should be fine. It is really easy to do and worth it.

Door locks

Ok, if someone can lead me to the pics and instructions, I can try. I just didn't have the confidence. How long should something like this take me to do?
(maybe I should send mine to you redeyeracing?)

It's a lot of reading, but here's the link to the thread.

There's been a lot of little things added to the instructions over time, so I suggest you read the entire thing to assure success.

Double post. Sorry.

Actually, I'm not sorry at all, as it's not OUR fault. If FTE would get on the stick and fix the real reason for this, we wouldn't HAVE double posts.

Read the link. They're in there.

Unfortunately it's a long post to have to wade through.

Are you sure that your problem is the door lock actuator and not the button. My drivers side will 'lock' all 4 doors with the the button on the drivers side, but will not 'unlock' any.. My passenger side works fine to lock and unlock all 4 doors. Try your passenger side, for the problem maybe 'lock/unlock' button on the drivers side.

Both doors do the same thing, using the button causes clicks in both doors, but no movement on plunger. The more you click it the weaker it gets.
