Why is this guy the most popular guy in Nascar? He is so overrated.Because his dad (rip) died he has this flocking of fans. Please,he is avg at best.I`m a Stewart fan, yes, but I`m not here to bash.just tryin to understand this infatuation with jr.Is it the crooked smile?
I like Jr. too, but he is overrated as a driver.......Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson are better drivers right now........Even, ugh.....Kyle busch..........Maybe by next year he will become consistent and snap out of his funk.
Jr will never snap out of it. Hes on the best race team in NASCAR and still cant finish in the top 20. Hes being out run by almost everyone on the track each and every week. I think he will go to Childress next year to drive the #1 car.

If you are a stewart fan,why don't you have the #14 in your avatar instead of #20 Joey Lagano? as afar as JR goes, lets change the crew chief. wait!! did that already!! ok,how about brand new cars? tried that also!! how about putting him with the best team in NASCAR? been there, done that,no good results. let's face it folks,JR isn't his daddy and never will be,but he sells merchandise so we will keep him around no matter how bad he sucks ***.
Got me on the avatar..I said in a diff arena that I need to upgrade. Soon.Iv`e got many things signed and met Tony a few times.Hard to change...anyway...I knew the crew chief was a puff a smoke. Every race it seems, jr is behind teamates so somehow he finds a wall or blows motor etc in order for an excuse. Don`t jr fans get tied of b.s,like I said I do root for him but c`mon now.A top 5 now and again would be nice
The worst AND the best thing that Jr. has going for him is that his name is Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Everytime you hear his name, what's the first thing that comes to mind? I'd be willing to bet that it has something to do with the fact that his father was one of the best drivers to ever put a helmet on.
I'm not a fan of his, never have been. I was'nt a fan of his dad's, either, although I could respect that Dale Sr. came from nothing to the top of his chosen profession. Jr. got the benefit of Sr.'s success, but that can only go so far. Dale Sr., even if he had survived, could'nt simply "ordain" that his son would be a great driver. If that were the case, why are'nt there legions of Kerry Earnhardt fans asking why their guy is'nt standing atop the pile? Dale Jr. may be a good driver and all, but he's weighed down by being named "Dale Earnhardt, Jr.", and people automatically expect that since he has that name, he should have the talent that his father did. Well, he does'nt, which is'nt his fault, but he does sell tickets and merchandise, does'nt he?
Consider this... Kyle Petty had a pretty good career in NASCAR, has a lot of fans (including me, and I was and still am a Richard Petty fan), and yet was never seriously considered as the "heir apparent", was he?
All my opinion here... not meant to start any feuds.
To give him a little credit, earlier this season a reporter was interviewing him after a 12th or 13th place finish and Jr. said, "You know there are 12 other drivers you should be talking to instead of me."
All I have to say is how can anyone perform under that type of pressure? You can't.
I bet once he gets another points race win, he'll get the ball rollin. Jr's a class act on and off the track,it's why I like him.
They all have there dry spells, Denny just won after a 50 race winless streak, Jamie McMurry, Kevin Harvick to name a few other guys having a tough time.
I am not and never have been an Earnhart fan, either of them. When Dale Sr. finally won the Daytona 500, I was pulling for him to do it. He had too many disappointments. My driver also is Richard Petty, I watched win too many times with a car that was several mph slower than the Fords and Mercurys. I hope Jr. has what it takes, he is on the best Chevy team going, but Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Mark Martin all overshadow him. Right now, Tony Stewart has the best record an owner-driver has ever had in NASCAR. I enjoy seeing that, but I am still a Ford man when it comes to that sport.

I like Carl Edwards too.As far as a championship goes I'd love to see the old man grab it this year. Man has Mark Martin been on fire,he's a great guy.
