I haven't really been watching NASCAR lately. As in the past 2 years. Kyle Busch has really gained in popularity and I can't stand it. However I have caught the past 3 races which has been pretty sweet because I am a Smoke fan so it's good to see him doing good with his own company.
All I have to say is how can anyone perform under that type of pressure? You can't.
I bet once he gets another points race win, he'll get the ball rollin. Jr's a class act on and off the track,it's why I like him.
What special pressure is he under that Stewart (new team, new owner) or Johnson (defending champion) or Edwards (#1 seat dropped in his lap, team with HIGH expectations) or Martin (geezer) isn't under?
I expect him to leave Hendrick (or get fired for non-performance) and go to IRL where mediocre prima-donnas flourish.

Statistically his numbers are good. He'll find his rythem again.
I guess the anger management classes did Stewart some good. I was at Louden a few years ago right after Smoke pushed a reporter and kicked his audio recorder under the hauler, I never heard anyone get booed that bad in my life. I thought the grandstand was going to tip over.
I have nothing against Jr. but I don't even look to see where he's at anymore.. Mark Martin is my man... I was watchin Nascar when he just started, so I am really enjoying the year he is having.
Have always been a Martin fan...
Gee you guys make me feel old, when I first started following NASCAR in moviereels, A young guy named Richard Petty was being touted as "probably every bit as good as his daddy Lee". He was running the compact division with a Valiant.
LOL..I just read this about Kyle on the Nascar site.
Stupid is as stupid does
The win not withstanding, what was really impressive was Vickers' handling of his spat with Busch. In fact, had he handled it differently on the mental side, there simply was no way he could have won Sunday.
On Saturday, the two were battling for the lead on the final lap of the Nationwide race -- when eventual winner Brad Keselowski seemingly came out of nowhere and blew past them for the victory.
Afterward, Busch angrily called Vickers "an idiot" for racing him too hard and forcing him down on the apron right before Keselowski made the winning move. As Vickers drove to pit road following the race, Busch steered into him and cut him off -- then jumped from his car and into Vickers' face
