Hi Guys,
I pulled the two lean bank codes on my 2000 v10 crew 4x4 w/manual tranny. I searched posts and I did find the loud hiss coming from the pcv hose. I didn't pull that hose yet. I used a piece of heater hose as a stethoscope and it sounds like the pcv hose. Aside from the dealer that wants $25 for that curved piece of rubber, where can I find one. I called a few parts stores and searched a few online stores. Also, one store qouted $29 for the Motorcraft pcv. Is that right? I'm thinking I need to change the pcv as well because I noticed I'm two qts low on oil after only 1k. The truck only has 92k on the clock.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

$29 for a PCV is way over priced even for a Motorcraft one. Should be more like $3-$5 for aftermarket and like $10-$11 (list) for Motorcraft.

The hose price doen't surprise me. I doubt you'll find an aftermarket one but you may.

I broke down and went to the dealership to buy the pcv hose. I plucked the one out of my v10 and discovered a big crack in the curved piece. That was definitely the source of the vacuum leak. The curved hose is sold separately from the insulated pcv hose. I got the insulated hose as well because that thing was hard. If there is an upside, the insulated hose comes with the pcv. You'll need to reuse the coupling/adapter to connect the curved hose and the insulated pcv hose.
