I read on another forum (4btswaps) that a 6 speed is (or was) available for 4.6 and 5.4 gas engines. As far as I can tell the ratios are the same as the S6-650, S6-750. Its hard to tell which one it is from the ZF website because there are so many listings and applications there.
It should be a single countershaft ecolite, these transmissions range from 65 Kg to 110Kg. So here is the question. Is the information correct? Is it a S6-380? How rare is this transmission?
My local Ford dealer is no help. If this information has been covered in another post let me know, I couldn't find it. I should add I am looking for the overdrive version, ZF lists both.
