Ford Warranty
I may be selling my 2000 X and buying a newer 2004 X. The dealer is trying to sell me a 2/24 warranty for $2k! Ripoff! This is not a Ford dealer. Can I purchase a warranty from Ford? The X has 65k miles.

Many aspects of the warranty business and car business has changed in the last 2 months !
The best answer is call Ford and ask them, get the persons name and extension number for future reference. It might even be a good idea to check twice.
Case in point my neighbor bought some kind of OFF-THE-WALL Warranty and blew the engine in his F-150, 5500.00 later it has a new engine in it. His warranty declined the claim, he had to pay it all.
