My Ex has had a terrible vibration since I bout it 10k miles ago. I have replaced the shocks with Billsteins, put new tires on and had them normally balanced 2 different times from a great shop. I put new U Joints and had my drive shaft rebalanced.....and still had a terrible shake/vibration from 73 mph on up. I was beyond frustrated and was thinking of selling it. I drove 300 miles of a 700 mile trip and stopped for the night. I called around and found a Discount Tire that has a Hunter Road Force balancer and decided to swing by in the morning and give it a try. At this point I really didn't have much faith but was at my whit's end. After $85 and the rep telling me that it should be a ton better.....guess what???? My vibration is GONE......I can't believe it. It is night and day....I can finally do 85-90 mph without worring that my fillings are going to fall out.
If you still have a vibration and have not had your tires road foce balanced....go get it done.
I am running 20" Helo Maxx wheels with 305/55/20 Nitto Terra Graplers.....
The last 400 miles today I couldn't get the grin off my face.
I 'm heading to the tire shop tomorrow due to a large bolt or screw that is lodged in my one tire now. I also have had new Michelins and different rims changed over and a driveshaft with all new joints and flanges and the double cardin gone threw and balanced, and still at above 70 it shakes terrible.
Make sure you post a follow up on whether or not it makes a difference. I found a link on Hunter's web site that will tell what shops in your area have that particular machine.
