Painted bumper (pics)

The top corners of the tailgate were caved in so I pounded them out. I also took out the tail lights and did a little sanding on the body.Went to wally worl and found some rattle can paint that matched good. Then I painted the bumper with crome paint. I also installed a receiver.


That top pic looks like an old pic to me.

Wow that looks awesome man. great job. What was the name of the stuff you used on the bumper? I need to redo mine and I like the way yours turned out.

I use the $6-a-can "High performance" silver rim paint on my bumpers. It looks the same, and it's very durable too.

Thanks for all the responses. I was shocked at how good that chrome paint turned out. You can put your hand next to it and it reflects like a mirror. It looks like polished aluminum.

If the rear bumper on my truck wasn't so jacked up I would probably do what you did...
There is a lot of thin surface rust in the first picture above the the left tail light...
Did you grind that out and respray that as well?

great job, looks much better! and that paint on the bumper worked out great! and no offense to anyone, but your paint job on that bumper is the best i have seen, normally i am not a fan of painted bumpers, but yours turned out great,
