Sorry for the late response. I did a little sanding on the bumper with 220 grit. I just hit the rusted spots. That paint comes out heavy and covers really fast. I got a couple of runs that I sanded out and sprayed again on just those spots. As for the back of the truck, I did the same as the bumper. I did take the dents out of the top corners of the tailgate before painting. I just painted around the tail lights and the sides of the gate. There is a slight color difference but not much from the original color. I'm hoping to paint the whole truck soon so I just did a quick cover. That was with Ivory in the rattle can on the truck. My wife wants me to paint the truck Blue.
I just got done painting the bumper on my '97 F350 and it looks good also, but it comes off onto what ever touches the bumper (turns everything silver). I did mine before I saw this thread, when I get home on the 21st I'll post the paint I used.
I just watched your video 1977f150xlt, nice job. If only I had a garage and OHH YA your Dad. Just kidding it would be nice to have the garage though. Are you past the primer stage yet? I hope to turn my CC into a 4x4.
