Did you get some of the backstrap at least?

If they total it, maybe you can buy it back and replace the cab?

As much as it sucks, remember, vehicles are repairable.

Glad you and your wife came thru all that without any major injuries!

I don't see any blood, how bad was the deer? (You know someone was gonna ask!)

Great thought Lisa. That's what I would do if I were financially stable. Then I would buy a super high milage truck and combine the two.

I had something real similar happen about 10 years ago. I was following a tractor-trailier down a two-lane highway running about 55-60, when all of a sudden I see brake lights and the truck do a little shimmy. A split second later, a furry sack of mush comes flying out from under the trailer, flipping around, and landed *right* in front of my Bronco. I about wet myself. If I was following *any* closer, it would've been the same result as you. I already had to pressure wash blood & fur off my truck -- to this day, I don't know how I didn't hit any of it!! It dropped so close to the front of my truck, I couldn't see it actually land. I still remember seeing the head and the eye looking right at me as it dropped out of view in front of the hood. There wasn't much else left of it. We both pulled into the next parking lot which was a 7-Eleven, and emptied out drawers, etc. The trucker took my info so his company didn't blame him for the cracked fender...

Glad y'all are okay!!
