The dealership said they "flagged" the VIN # so I couldn't take it anywhere else for that specific warranty work.
I guess they don't have your best interest at heart. Not only did they not try to help you out, but they have gone out of their way to make sure no one else can either. I'd avoid them like the plague.
Thanks guys for all your input good or bad. The dealership said they "flagged" the VIN # so I couldn't take it anywhere else for that specific warranty work.
Since the repair side of the dealer flagged your VIN, I'd have them put her back together and I'd driver her down to another Ford dealer and trade her for another vehicle.
I know you feel Ford screwed you pretty bad on this and anyone in your shoes may feel the same. But, you have to ask yourself if you did all the right things right in order to protect your own interests in the event thAt a fluke such as this should occur.
I guarrantee that Ford's job 1 right now is looking after themselves.
