On 66 Ford automatic shift indicator, it shows park,n,drive ok, but 2 and 1 are way off. When I'm in 2nd shows it beween N and 2, and when I'm in 1st it is on 2nd on the indicator. The truck was restored in 99 and it looks like it got a new shift indicator. Could they have used a wrong style? And if so where could I get the correct one? Early Ford shows one for 59-63,and Carperter shows the same. I'm thinking that is what's on it.

Early Ford shows one for 59-63, and Carpenter shows the same. I'm thinking that is what's on it. Nope. 1959/63: P R N Dr Lo (B9C-15805-B), use with Ford-O-Matic / 1961/64: P-R-N-D1 D2-Lo (C1TT-7B033-A) use with Cruise-O-Matic.
The correct shift indicator dial, as John said, has a GREEN dot, this one =
But this dial is obsolete and AFAIK, no one is reproducing it. No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
What is reproduced is the 1967/72 dial (C7TZ7B033E) which is: P R N D 2 1.
The repro parts sellers are listing this for 1965/72, but it's not original for 1965/66 F100/250's.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 1965/66 F350 dial (C5TZ7B033C) is different than the one used on 1965/66 F100/250's.
Why? Prolly because the steering column flange it mounts to is F350 only.
So John and Hummer, what I have on my truck is most likely a E Type? How hard would it be to find the right one? Hummer, on the shift switch (NSS), is was bad and someone disconnect it,so I ordered one.
The correct shift indicator dial for 1965/66 F100/250's is C5TZ7B033A
Since: DC, Carolina Classics, The Truck Stop, NPD, Auto Krafters, Blue Oval and Mac's are all selling the 1967/72 dial (C7TZ7B033E) which is P R N D 2 1 (they all claim it also fits 1965/66-but...it's not original), are you sure LMC isn't selling this same one?
Since when did LMC start selling something unique that the other repro parts sellers don't offer?
And...if LMC is selling the correct one, why doesn't anyone else offer it?
