Need some help
The Check Engine light has been on for 3 years since I bought it. I Lifted it about 2 yrs ago. Put 35" Tires about a 1.5yrs ago. Regeared it to 4.56 a little over a year ago. haven't messed with the speedometer. About a year ago i've noticed that I got about 12-14 mpg and that was driving about 70-75 mph. I can live with that. Could go alittle over 200 miles on a tank of gas. Recently I've noticed that my fuel mileage sucks...about 8-9mpg and easy to medium driving. everytime I drive it I have to watch the fuel gauge go down quite a bit
. Hell right now on this tank of gas i've traveled about 90 miles and it has less than 1/2 a tank left
. Just about a week ago the codes read 311-thermactor air system inoperative
332-insufficient EGR flow detected
225-Knocked not sensed during dynamic response test
Just tuned it up..new wires, plugs, cap, fuel pump, fuel filter, coil. still nothing.
PLEASE HELP ME OUT.
The 311 code of thermactor air system inoperatve is probably the TAB and/or TAD solenoid. I had that code a few years ago and just replaced both the relays.
The 332 EGR code could be the valve or just the sensor on top of the EGR. The sensor is inexpensive and you could try replacing just it. I had that EGR code a long time ago and just replaced both.
I'm not sure about the 225. That might mean the knock sensor is bad, but I don't know.
I know this didnt help, just wanted to share. The only two leads I got are a restriction and timing.
P.S According to the book, code 225 is "knocked not sensed during dynamic response test"
