So my 03 6.0 with mods listed below in sig, is really running high egt all of a sudden. I had put a new rubber tube from the turbo to the aluminum pipe on, reclamped the tube at the other end, and fixed a broken section of my boost gauge line. Now I cant even run the truck normally. Get 1200 degrees at 110 km/h, no load and just coasting at that speed. cant get boost over 10 psi stock, and cant reach 20 with the chip in it. Cant hear any air leaks as well. turbo or intercooler? I feel the turbo is fine but who knows with these stupid motors. Please shed some light, thanks!
And I have not got a under or overboost code so even more leaning towards the intercooler problem
I had a similar problem with low boost check all the intercooler hoses. I had a hole in the lower one on the drivers side. You have to remove it to give it a good inspection.
I have now checked all the hoses and all seem good. the intercooler was checked and does not have a leak. The issue I am having now is the sct x3, when removed, said the ecm or something along those lines has been modified. I tried 3 times, finally got the program removed and back to stock, and then this was when these problems started. I unplugged the egr valve and the temp problem went away. seems like the turbo is not fully operating but I think thats what happens when you unplug the valve. Plug it back in and get no boost and tons of heat. What causes this now? I have the full egr delete so does my truck need a reflash or something?
I got the same ECM message when I tried to load ASE 2 weeks ago. I plugged the SCT into the computer and re-loaded the tunes into the programmer and they loaded into the truck without any further issues. I can't help with your other condition though. I had problems re-loading the tunes when I got my truck back from Ford after the new HPOP even though I returned it to stock before they worked on it. When I tried to load a tune it would load to 99% and stop no matter how long I waited. Now it loads completely. HTH- Tim
