I hear ya there! I had the exact same thought about my truck!

I think I'll head up to Sacramento Raceway in September when it's a tad cooler and see what my baby will do.

Stewart, Let me know when you go to Sac Raceway. I live less than an hour away. I'd love to go. If nothing else I can help pit. I'm not sure about running my truck, but happy to lend some support.

NHRDA has their race Sept. 12 in Medford. Clay has parts for me...so don't set that day as your race date.

The timing on this is funny.

I stopped at the Marina Airport a little bit ago because they're running the autocross there this weekend. I used to run my Lightning in the autocross all the time and after I befriended Pete (Duck Fan), I found out he races his Miata there too.

So I'm kicking it at the airport and decide to call Pete and see how his drive back is coming along, and one of the subjects we talked about was the 1/8 mile drag races that occurred at RRE 1 (yes, I just added a numerical designation to Riffraff East. How else to differentiate between the one ending today, and the ones that will happen in the future? ).

I told him I had posted in this thread and mused out loud about heading to Sac Raceway to see how my little Baby Blue would do in the 1320, and Pete said to let him know because he would go, and that we should call Jeff too because he's like an hour away, and Nick and his dad had such a great time at RRE 1 racing that he's sure they would go too....

Well, you can see where this one is going, no? LOL.

With the second Riffraff tech day shaping up to be held sometime in September too, let's let the dust settle on RRE 1 and get Tech Day 2 scheduled, then I'll do some planning with y'alls and get a date scoped out.

So was this with your '01 or your '94?

What track did you go to? Used to live outside of Eldorado and still have family all around Wichita. Would be nice to have an option to run next time I'm down that way!

 

I ran it with the 01 Ryan. I traded the 94 off almost 2 years ago. Wish I would have

kept it though, I loved that old truck. Any time your around just get a hold of me on

here and we can hook up sometime. Always have some cold ones in the fridge.
