Well its been a long time since i have posted on here. I went about a year with out really working on the truck, but have recently started working on it again. I have converted over to power steering, power brakes, and a c-4 automatic. Its amazing what a differance all that makes. I welded a panel on the tailgate to smooth it out, and match the bodyline on the side of the bed. I used the original latch and fliped it to the back side. Almost all the bodywork is done on the outside and is in primer.(with the exception of the tailgate) I painted the interior legend lime. Its a color ford used on the 05 mustang. I'm in the process of putting the interior back together. I had a buddy pinstripe the interior, let me know what you think the pics are in my gallery.
The truck is looking good. I didn't shave the driprails on mine because they were in great shape. That has to be a lot of work.
I see that you put power door locks in. Did you do the power windows? Saturn front window motors mesh up with the stock Ford window regulators in place of the crank. I have pics of mine if you are considering power windows. It is a very cheap way to do Power windows.
I am planning on doing the power windows, I just need to get around to finding some of the saturn motors. Another thing that I have done is move the gas tank under the bed, with the use of a mustang tank.
Been some time. Browsed your gallery, wow, not that I did not like the truck before, but talk about making progress, really looking good. Slowly but surely, post pic's when you can. Great job!!!.
You have obviously been working hard on your truck. The results look very nice. Stripping it down to bare metal must have taken a lot of time and effort. Looks like the sheet metal is very solid too. What are you planning as far as a paint job?
