After reading this thread I checked my 2008 (30,000 miles) and found paint bubbling on the tailgate and under the hood. I took it to the dealer and they repainted the entire tailgate and just under the lip of the hood. They also replaced the emblems which had peeling paint. I had a small ding on the tailgate and they fixed that without even mentioning it. All for free. I had the same problem with the hood of my 2000 F-150.
I just picked up a 2007 with 28,000 miles. Its out of bumper to bumper warranty but in drivetrain/corrosion warranty limits.
It has bubbles on the rear hatch and hood lip. Am I SOL trying to get this fixed for free at the dealer? Sounds like you guys all got them fixed while the 3yr/36,000mile warranty was in effect...
Check the build date on the sticker in the door jam. If it's out of bumper to bumper, I would still try a few dealers and see if they will fix it. Some will if its close to the warranty.
The corrosion warranty is for rust through holes-very dumb IMO. Takes a lot to put a rust hole in something.
