Cam Alignment

I'm an idiot and just pulled the heads off my 2003 V6 4.0L ranger and did not mark the cams before pulling them off. is there any indicating notches, flanges or writings to tell me how to seat them properly back on before putting it all back together?

Good luck. Those 4.0 sohc engines suck when it comes to cam timing. You will have to either buy or rent the cam timing tool set. Without itn, setting the timing is mostly guesswork. If you mess up you bend valves, its as simple as that.
