Absolutely not. If the egr system malfunctions it will trigger the check engine light but the air conditioning will still function correctly. Just curious, what led you to ask the question?
Did you ever have the proper diagnostic tests performed on the AC? The air conditioning system is a very simple design and there are not very many things that can go wrong with it. I have asked you in several other posts what all has been done or not done regarding the diagnosis of your a/c, and I dont believe you have answered yet.

Yes i had to get a new computer for the theft system and ford had to program it to my truck so that problem is fixed but i still have no ac i also put a new to me ac and heat control on and still nothing i also bypassed both the high and low pressure switches and i changed the relay and still not fixed/can anyone tell me what it might be thanks kevin.(the compresser with kick on one time for about 2 seconds and kick right back off and thats it it won't kick on anymore i know the freon level is ok)
