Broken spring
The clutch assist spring under the pedal on my 97 f250 broke on the ride home the other day. This spring really doesn't seem to do much because the pedal is still just as stiff and works fine but i got a new spring and ran into problems with replacing it. There is a small plastic piece on the bottom that looks like it slides over a metal tab near the floorboard. But i cannot get the old one off the tab. Anyone ever replace this before? I almost think i will have to take the pedal assembly and bracket out. What is involved in this?
