power rack rubber boot cover

the rubber shaft cover on the driver side power rack needs to be replaced can i buy just the boot replacemnet from a local parts store

If you can find something that fits, yes. Note that the boot has a hole for the vent tube that runs to the other side. You need this to allow air to move in and out of the boot as it expands and contracts. It's clever that they have the air shuttling between the bellows on each side. If you have a sealed boot, like some shoch absorbers, it can suck dirt in when it's expanding. This will mess up the shaft pretty quickly.

If you can't find one at your local auto parts store, try your local salvage yard.
