Too Much oil?
This might sound funny guys', but a friend at work and I were both kind of curious. We have heard before about not overfilling your oil level, but neither one of us are really sure why. I've heard something about crankcase pressure increase and he's not sure at all. Anybody know what can happen?

Too Much oil?
If there is too much oil in an engine it can get high enough that the crankshaft will hit the oil as it rotates. When it does this it whips the oil into a foam. Foamed oil takes up a lot more room, so it whips even more. This can force oil out of places that it shouldn't come out of.
Also, foamed oil does not have the film strength of "normal" oil, so it doesn't protect as well. The oil film can breakdown, causing an engine failure.
