Door locks

Only the passenger side lock on my 93 F-250 works, and its the same with my grandpas 95 F-350. I was curious if anyone else has this problem and knows any way to fix the drivers side lock without taking it apart? Im assuming theirs probly rust in there sticking things together. I tried spraying some WD-40 in there in hopes of loosening stuff up but it doesnt seem to have helped any.

Can you lock and unlock from inside, or not at all?

If the only place it don't work from is outside, either a rod came off or the lock cylinder wore out.

If you can't get it to lock from the inside, what does the gasket outside the glass look like?

Cracks in the outside gasket may be letting water run down on the lock mechanism.

it can be locked and unlocked fine from the inside. If a rod came of i would be able to turn the key but nothing would happen right? The key goes in fine, it just cant be turned.

Sounds like the lock cylinder is corroded.
Once the rods go to the actual locking mechanisim, the inside and outside controls do the same thing.

Yes if the rod fell off, you should be able to turn it with nothing happening.

Maybe a little PB Blaster. Keep it off the paint.
