Where is this air coming from

Air is coming from the defrost vents while driving down the road while everything is turned off. When you stop driving the air stops. What is causing this? 1978 f 100

My truck has vents on the driver side kick panel and the passenger side under the glove box. Both can be shut.

Your dampner isn't closing enough or tightly enough to stop the air. The air comes from the cowl vents that's why you get a "ram air" effect while moving, but not sitting still.

From the outside.

Seriously, check your feet vents, make sure they are closed, then check your dampener.

My truck has no foot vents. The accuator motor on the dampener was unpluged. I guess it has been ever since I bought the truck about 3 years ago. Finally got tired of that hot or cold air blowing in my face. Thanks guys.
