Front Hitch

Thinking about adding a front 2" receiver to carry my motorcycle. Been carrying it on a hitch on the back of my 5er but it bounces around to much back there and has been banging on the back of the trailer. My concern is that unless I use some sort of a drop hitch attachment the receiver will be to tall and the MC will obscure my vision. Not to worried about blocking the headlights as it will give my an excuse to park it earlier if we are traveling.
Anybody out there tried this and how did it work out?

I wouldn't put anything in front of my radiator, but I will bump this for you.

I agree with Rick, I wouldn't block the radiator either.

I also am not a big fan if blocking the air flow, but some aftermarket bumpers have a hitch in the front.

Here is one,

It has a 2" receiver on it.

I think you would be better off trying to improve on the rear of the 5ver design. Mostly I wouldn't want to carry that extra weight up front.

what size motorcycle are we talking about? i would not block the front end. i would check into a better rear carrier for the bike. there are several designs from basic push on rails to hydraulic lift types that will support a full size road bike.

Check out Warn. They have one that is bolt on.

I am not sure if you plow but it might not work. I would not carry anything that large on the front of my truck either, I might get one for my small rack that I put my coolers on when hauling my four wheeler.

I was thinking of something like that to carry my generator, something that bolts into those tow hooks or something but didn't search for it. In the bed it goes..
