06 freestyle Overhead DVD quit, any ideas?
My wife and I purchased an 06 Ford Freestyle back in October of 08. The DVD has been working fine until about 1.5 months ago. We put a disc in but nothing comes up on the display and the front console states no AUX audio can be found. We are only able to insert and eject a DVD. Any ideas as to what I can check for or do we just need to replace the DVD player??
Thanks

OEM DVD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING
To all,
I purchased my 05 EX Eddie Baur back in the begining of 2009 used the DVD player during camping trips and worked fine, last trip we made in Aug put a DVD in it kids was watching it, we made a stop and I cut off the truck before removing DVD and shutting it down. When we went to turn it back on would not come on at all. Radio has a button that you pick between CD/DVD and it does not even show the dvd player now, it is like there is no power going to the DVD player. Radio works, CD player works, or I should say the dash unit works fine, console radio part works fine, but the DVD player is not comming on when screen is put down.
ANY ADVISE

Sarge did you resolve this?
I have an 03 Exp E/B so the information that I am giving you is for my 03 but it could apply to your 05:
Check the harness either at the radio or the DVD player and look for a Green/Black wire (it is bunched with a blue w/pink and a tan w/I think yellow) - Make sure that there is 12v power going through there. That is the power source for the Rear Ent system.
Good Luck

I have not got back to looking at this since I posted it on here, between weather and other things going on I just have not got to it. As soon as the weather gets back to a resonable temp again where I can get outside without making my medical conditions go haywire I plan on digging into it again. I will keep this message to refer back to.
Thanks
