Key Ignition Replacement

1994 F150 XLT 351 cid
What is the trick to changing the ignition switch on the steering column?

Do you mean the ign switch lock barrel with the key or do you mean the electrical ign/start switch?

turn key to run, stick 1/8" drill in hole below the cylinder, remove cylinder, put in new cylinder.

if you want one key then go to a locksmith and they can key the new cylinder to match your door key.

should be around 40 bucks or so.

the hole is on the bottom of the column and accessed through the plastic below the key.
