What a total waste of our tax dollars! Robin hood taking our hard earned dollars to give to some else to by a rice burner. I buy Fords with my dollars and should't be forced to subsidize Korea, Japan, or any other countrys car companys and or governments. I won't buy from GM or Chry. ever again since Robin hood spent billions of our tax dollars proping them up. The government needs to stay out of our pockets and stick to defending our country! If some one needs a new car let them figure out how to pay for it on thier own.
I was going to trade in my 97 F150 XLT w/ 4.6 for a 2004 F150 Lariet package with 5.4 using the c4c, but after seeing what they do to the engines, I changed my mind.
That 4.6 with 217000 miles purrs like a kitten, It is now officially my farm truck.
Now when I tear out the old barb-wire fencing, I don't have to worry about scratching the paint.........
And if he wants to go ahead and do this......then he won't get a penny from the government......so it won't cost the tax payers a penny if he does it....and those who traded in their stuff got the money they were promised
Well you know how slippery dealers can be ...LOL...Nuff said....
I saw a disturbing picture in today's paper about the c4c program. It showed a salvage yard in California getting ready to crush some vehicles and in the background was an 87-93 Mustang GT. That's barberic and uncivilized. Cars like that should be exempt from the crusher, period.
I saw a Youtube video where they took a F-250 with a V-10 drained the oil and water fired it up and reved it till it finially threw a rod. Those V-10's sound WEIRD when the rev limiter kicks in and out. My thoughts: WHY.........
Special interest. In this case it's the auto industry. I agree with saving as many auto jobs and all the domestic manufacturing that we can, but I disagree with the methods. C4C would have been ok with me if the government would not have mandated the crushing of the clunkers and the destruction of the drivetrain. The drivetrains that are getting destroyed are still more fuel efficient and cleaner than powertrains of the 50's and 60's. By doing this the government is forcing the working poor and seniors on a limited income out of owning their own car or truck by limiting supply of good used parts to keep those old cars safely on the road for a few more years. It's not a secret that the manufacturers don't support the parts supply of vehicles that are older than 8-10 years old any more. Some items that the aftermarket could support the manufacturers won't let the aftermarket suppliers have a license to make even though many of those same aftermarket suppliers made the parts for the manufacturers when they were still selling them. It's called planned obsolesence. As far as I'm concerned it's one of the biggest crimes perpetrated on an unsuspecting public by manufacturers and our government. It's also a waste of natural resources by not making the vehicles that we have last as long as possible. And our leaders wonder why the public is leary of the changes that they want to make in healthcare.

Because the Democrats are trying to convert this country into anti-American...
