Summit Racing Parts

Has anyone ever bought Summit Racing brand parts? I was looking at their rotors and brake pad as they are a lot cheaper than the name brands. Are they good quality parts?

I live right here 20 min from Summit... Does that make me an expert? NO but I also have 6 parts stores within 5 miles of my house. I also have a few close friends I race with that own repair shops.

Summit brands are just that in many cases. After market nock offs for people less fortunate, (inmost cases) Chinese crap.

My buddy is building a 56 prostreet truck (Ford) we go to Summit right in our back yard. Bought 3 different oil pans... 1 being Summit brand. Bolts didnt even line up. They have earned the nickname "Dummit"

When it comes time for me and brakes, I will buy the Best NAPA brand mettaulic pads. As far as rotors, I think my mind is made with the I think Power Slots.

The only Summit brand Items I would buy are Oil dipsticks, Funnels, ect.

Summit has a great return policy. DOnt like it ? bring it back no questions asked. Once a week the scratch and dent shelves get restocked with the return stuff, and every 3 months a big return stuff sale.

I have bought a few times from summit, on somethings they are o.k. on, but I find them to be a bit pricey, but they do have hard to find stuff. I think it all is made in china nowadays.
