SUCKEN DOWN OIL!!!
HI I HAVE A 92 F150 XLT 302 V8 WITH 104000 MILES ON IT! AND I AM GOING THRU A QT EVERY 500 MILES OR SO I KNOW THIS IS NOT RIGHT!! WHATS WRONG??? I HAVE POSTED BEFORE AND THEY SAY MY ENGNIE IS WORN OUT AND THE RINGS AND PCV VALUE ARE PROBLLY GONE OR WHATEVER!! I CANT AFORD TO REBUILD OR GET A NEW ENGINE CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE SIMPLEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO FIX THE OIL PROPLEM AND I ALSO GET ONLY ABOUT 8-12 MPG! HELP ME WITH THAT ALSO HAHA!! IT SUCKS!! I DONT SEE ANY OIL SPOTS WHERE I PARK BESIDES I NORMAL LITTLE TINY STUFF! I AM WILLING TO SPEND SOME MONEY BUT NOT ENOUGH TO REBUILD IS THAT MY ONLY OPTION?? IF I TAKE IT TO MY MACHANIC WHAT SHOULD I TELL HIM TO LOOK FOR/DO TO MY ENGEING?

You didn't state what type/weight oil you are burning. I would suggest a good grade of straight weight oil. Depending on where you live and the normal temperature for this time of year, I would use 40w. If that doesn't slow it down, try a bottle of Restore. You can only put it in once. After that, it starts plugging some of the small oil ports and your motor will starve for oil.If that don't work, look for a good junk yard motor.

Hey Ford311, What are you yelling about? In case you didn't know, it means you're yelling when you type all in caps. Anyhow, your engine is worn-out early for some reason. Did you not change your oil every 300 miles? Just for the heck of it, change your pcv, as somebbody else has said. They cost 5 bucks or less, and take seconds to change out. Change your oil and filter, and follow the advise Flash gave you.
