What sensor is that????
Hello,
I have a 1999 Ford F-250 superduty with the 7.3 Powerstroke deisel. I purchased it 3 weeks ago and had nothing but bad luck with the electrical. Ive already replaced the cam sensor in front of the motor. It seems I have alot of sensors unplugged and I have been plugging them back in as I find them. I happen to find one that is plugged in at the base of the turbo. I plugged it in and my truck immediatly started running like it had no power or on a couple cylinders. I am assuming the sensor is bad. But it runs fine unplugged. What sensor is it, and whats it for? Also when I was driving home after i bought it (about a 2 hour drive) the cruise control cut out but the whole truck stalled for just an instant and all the dummy lights came on also for just a sec. I tried putting it back in cruise and it did the same thing right away. Now that its home it hasn't done it again, but I bet if I drive it for some distance it will. Any ideas? If anyone could help that would be great!

Sounds like you do have some electrical issues. The base of the turbo is probably the EBPV, exhaust back pressure valve. For some reason it is closing, blocking off the exhaust and causing you to lose power. Not sure on the cruise issue though.
