Oh, I was just going by the writeup on guzzle's page. I haven't taken it all apart yet to see it for myself, so I'll have to try that next time I have a chance. Are there any good writeups on doing it that way instead of removing everything?
Good to know that people have had positive experience with the cheap ebay hubs, in case it comes to that!
127k on the truck, I bought it at 99k, so i don't know if the 1st owner ever serviced/replaced them. I do know the PO ran oversized tires and then put the stock tires back on (speedo difference that I fixed recently by going to 305/70/16's).
Hi,just replaced both on my '03,fine threads..Timken hub # sp580205,see Rock Auto, mine came with hub to knuckle studs and yellow "o" ring, you may want to replace outer hub sealsorman#81060,not included w/hub..use plenty of penetrant on studs before starting..PB Blaster (wally world) will do a good job..should run about $500.for all....good luck,Dave
We have a huge selection of hub assemblies on our website. Here's a link to them.
If anyone has any questions or you need a set but do not see your application feel free to call or PM me. We realize that these trucks have a ton of variables when dealing with the proper hub.
Some years have up to 5-6 different hub choices depending on what the truck came with from the factory.
i tried the 2 nut thing. was only able to take 1 of the 8 off (doing both sides). i don't have a stud puller, but would tat do the trick if i went and bought one
You will have to either replace the studs or UNSCREW the old ones,My new hubs came w/studs,but I would think an FOMOCO dealer can supply the correct studs F81Z 1107 AA..Luck,Dave

Beware Timken is now off-shore too...SHOCKER, I know.... You have to specify Timken USA or they will always quote you the 10 dollar cheaper part. Personally Id pay the 10 (or gladly more) to keep it USA.
They did the same thing when I inquired about front wheel bearings & races for my 68, 442. ALL the parts houses including BDI quoted Taiwan, China or India until I asked. BDI says oh ya we have USA bearings but they will cost you more and we have to order them. I asked how much is more they said $2-3 more per piece. Really! I wasn't about to put off shore junk in a good 'ole American Muscle car. Not for a $20-30 difference
See if you have a BDI Inc. around you, (Bearing Distributors Inc. or dot com). They should have them. They carry a wide variety of precision bearings, races, seals, speedy sleeves etc... Several different brands as well, some even made here. Don’t forget to ask for NO off shore garbage!
