Quick tach install question

After searching, I found that I needed to wire the tach to a dark green wire on negative side of coil... just wanted to know if this is the right one before I start splicing:

Thanks

looks like it could be the one. As long as it actually hooked to the tach. Make sure!

The coil only has two wires: A 12V positive and a negative and it's always green.

It may have 3 if you already have the pigtail for a tach - on older coils the negative has a Y connection already on it.

Okay, so I tested the tach and it works, so I just have 2 last questions:

I have a 302 and need to use both ground posts, is it okay to connect one post to the other then go to ground, or does each post need its own wire to ground?

Is it okay to wire the 12v post to the same switched power the radio uses, or is that not a good idea? I also planned on wiring a clock to that same wire.

Thanks

I have mine jumpered to each other and ground, the trons don't know the difference, a ground is a ground. Unless of course you are using something with high current, then you want a more stout ground.
