old ford blue,it is the dark blue
From the factory, your engine block would have been painted regular (dark) "Ford Blue"

"Ford corporate blue" it was used from '66-'81 i believe.
Krylon #1923, Dupli-Color #1606 and Plasti-Kote #224 are a few of the rattle can paints closest in color, personally i think Plasti-Kote #224 is the closest in color to the original Ford corporate blue.

This is correct, pre '66 was the lighter blue, '66 and up was the dark ford blue i.e. "Ford corporate blue" which ran until '81?

I thought it was '81 but yea i believe it was "battleship grey" after '80 or '81, i'm not certain though, i'm not a big fan of Fords '80 and up trucks.
