Just a bump to keep this up top...

I have many friends and family that are serving, have served, and have given their life for the well being of you and I. Bless those who are fallen, and may all active be guided and watched over.

My son-in-law is in Afghanistan currently with the US Marines. We are very proud of him.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and read this book. It's riveting and pays homage to some real American heroes:

Isn't that the truth! Most folks confuse it with Veteran's Day.

This holiday could be better-described as Dead Veteran's Day. It's a day to honor our nation's fallen, who have paid the ultimate price for us in battle.

It began as Decoration Day, a day to clean the weeds and trash off the graves of our war dead. There are still graves in unmaintained cemeteries that need that done.

You want to celebrate this holiday? Go find one of those graves and make a difference there, 'cause simply finding a vet and saying "Thank you" ain't really gonna' cut it.
