This is a good question - will have to work on finding a good point since this state is much larger so it's not a pain on everyone. Seems like every point that might get picked is "so far" from each other...lol.
Joe - saw your PM, will get back to you shortly...
It doesn't, but until recently it has been difficult to get regional co-operation. As Bill stated many of our members are quite a distance from one another. There is planning in the works though to see if we can create more regional activity. Never say die seems to be our states motto. Getting ten percent of the total members in the chapter involved off line is the immediate goal. Because of the great work done with Carlisle more members are receptive to the idea of working regional. As you know though, on line talk is just that, off line and putting your time in is a whole different ballgame. Many of our members are first timers and do not have the benefit of being involved with other venures of this nature and knowing how much fun it can be and the friends you can develop. So It may take time for committed members to step up. rest assured that those in the chapter that are involved are not resting on their laurels.
Joe - recently, one of my Representatives put it very well - "I think I could hold a meeting in one of my team member's kitchens and she'd be in the back yard complaining that I didn't bring it outside to her on a silver platter!" So, we continue to promote how much FUN we have at the events, the lasting friendships that are made, post plenty of pics, make it clear that many hands make light work (and easier on everyone's wallets) and see where it goes...
