08'F250; how to change mirror light

Driving home tonight and my neighbor flagged me down to tell me the running light on my passenger side mirror is out.

The bottom blinker light does work however.

Any trick to changing the bulb? Usually, when I stick a flathead into something I end up destroying what ever is suposed to "pop right off"!

If you look under the small, convex mirror you will see a silver tab. Use a small screwdriver to press on that tab and the housing will come out. It's pretty self explanatory from there.

The running light assy. does not pull straight out, it slides out toward the front, so do not pry on it. It has a tab that you have to release by pushing it in, sort of like a wire plug connector, if there is an access to it I do not know where it is, I fiddled with it somehow ang got it out, but it was all broken and I replaced it with a new one and it snapped right back in. It seems to slide out easy though when you touch it just right, so maybe the tab catchers are messed up on mine.
