programer

hi i own a 2000 F150 with a 4.6 i installled a hypertech progammer on it and ran it for a lil while to see if i liked it (got a good deal on a used one) and i removed it. my question is would the dealer be able to tell if i had one on it. i didnt change any thing but speed limiter and set it to run on 93 octane gas. which is all that was run in it.

The only thing they could probably tell is that those 2 setting that you mentioned were not the stock settings, but they would have to hook it up to their computer to tell.

could they do that because when i removed it i put the vehicle back to stock. the hypertech saves the stock setting and then is vin locked so only way to use it again is to set vehicle back to stock

If you returned the vehicle back to stock, the dealer won't be able to tell that there was ever a programmer on it. Just make sure that there are no DTC stored in the PCM and you're good to go.

Hope this helps.
