CCV is the Crank Case Vent mod. Usually done with the 6637 filter also. Instead of having the hose from the doghouse going into your intake to route it with a longer house down the frame rail and exit anywhere you want really, all the way to the back of the truck like most I think. Reason for doing this mod is because it oil gets introduced into the intake system covering the intercooler boots on the inside, and can seep into them and you might have them blow off because the oil made it slippery.

The foil delete is just getting rid of the foil on the drivers side intercooler pipe. Some people notice more turbo whistle when done and its just basically for that reason and to also make the engine compartment look better because most paint their pipes.

Hope this helps.

Mind has it covered, but I gotta add, don't bother posting 7.3L specific questions in that forum, just post them here, in the 7.3L specific forum.

That forum also covers the 5.4 and 6.8 gassers, and the 6.0 diesels.

Post here when you want to skinny, regarding your 7.3L powered diesel.

Foil delete (IC pipes) and 6637 with Pete's filter cover.

Go out to your truck and on the intake there will be a plastic piece attached to a bracket where the two intake boots clamp on to. On the lower side is a port where a hose connects to and that hose comes from the dog house, that little rectangular housing with two screws holding it down.

Here's Chris' pictoral when he did the mod, with accompanying catch can.

I have it saved because I plan on following his lead and doing the same kind of catch can set up for my rig.

Thanks guys yeh the picture serves the purpose. I was beginning to wonder if i offended anybody here. Seems like I can hardly get an input to my posts any more. Used to be pretty easy. Maybe its my name on here 150ford. Maybe that turns people off I dont know. Thanks again for your info that clears things up a bit. Be prepared for more stupid questions. I am learning more every day.

Timing is everything. It all depends on when people are on, and then not missing your thread.
