I wil give it a try.

E10 --- Pick up
T -----170 CId 6cyl motor. (I think you did a typo here)
H -----Lorain Assembly Plant
100935 -- Sequence number. It says manufactured in Oct. 1961

I said I will try. But in 61 the trucks came with a 144 engine. The 170 engine came later. So the truck must be a 62. Let me know if I'm right.
THANKS

The E10 of the vin code means a Econoline Pick up. Not a F100 truck. Someone may of changed the serial number on your truck or the registration.
If you have an actuall Econoline van or truck a secondary location of the serial number is on the brackets that cross the corner at the back of the vehicle. This bracket is in front of the tailights. There should be a serial number stamped into the metal. If it is an actaull F100 I do not know of a secondary number.

E10SH100935.

This is a 1961 Econoline assembled in October 1960, not October 1961.

1961 serial number range: 100,001 thru 205,000 / October 1960 serial number range: 100,001 thru 109,999.

The VIN's 4th digit is the letter S, not the numeral 5.

S = 144 1V.

That makes more sense. The s code than five. I thought maybe he hit the 5 above the letter T on the board.
Stand corrected about the year. Got a year ahead of myself. Thanks Number.

Now the question is does he have a F100 or an Econoline.
