so i was searhing CL tonight and happend on some 20" rims that looked great. i called and then went to look at them. they look amazing. they are a year old an are on a ladys '00 limited excursion. they are coming over tomarrow so we can swap them over, i'm then taking them for a test drive to make sure they drive right before paying them.
best part is the cost. my stock wheels/tires plus $300! i hope it all works out for the best tomarrow night, hopfully i'll be rollin on dubs!
However, performance-wise, she's getting the better deal. They are a performance sucker and it's more costly to replace the tires. Sorry for being Mr. Reality. You WILL love the look, though! And that's a good deal $$-wise.

That's exactly why I never put bigger rims on my truck. I thought about following suit with Monsta and his OEM 20's, but when I saw how much tires cost and considered my performance and mpg loss, I stuck with the OEM 16's.
But if you have the cash laying around or just don't care about the above, go for it and enjoy your new look!
oh i know the reality of it. but the way i look at it is. the truck is big and slow anyhow so that doesnt matter all that much. the tire cost is much more but these tires should last me for atleast a few years as they are at about 90-95%. plus over half the year i'll be running 16" studded snow tires.
i just cant wait to get them on!
i forgot to mention they are de-modding the truck because they are trading it in on a crew cab pickup.
so i wasnt aware that somewhere between year 2000 and 2004 they changed the wheel studs from course thread to fine thread. thus my lugnuts will not fit his truck and his wont fit my truck.
so tomarrow the search for lugnuts. i need to get factory ones from ford for him so my center caps will fit on. and i need to get the smallest aftermarket lugnut to fit my truck.
so i'm bummed but tomarrow should be the day. freakin story of my life nothing pans out exactly or as easily as its suppoed to.
ok! after almost $200 in new lugnuts i'm all set. i called him and hes going to try for tonight but it may be monday. ugh but if its tonight i'll get pics up asap!
