Cool down

What are the best ways to help cool down the engine compartment on a 98 F150 with a 5.4, AC, Auto.

The weather here in South Florida has been extreme so far this summer and just want to give the old truck some help.

Make sure your AC system is in tip top shape. When you get into the truck, set the ac to normal and crack the windows down. When most of the hot air is gone, close the windows and switch from normal ac to max ac.

I would have the hood louvered, or install a cowl induction hood.

Sorry, misread your post. So you want to cool the engine compartment. Seems your efan is not living up to the claims. I'd say switch back to a good old fashion belt driven fan. Also getting your manifold/headers wrapped will help a lot with the heat.

Yes
it is running hotter in traffic and at idle. I am a Private Investigator and spend an unusual amount of time in a vehicle, especially at idle, and lately the engine temps have been high. Normal was 198-202 now im seeing 215 -228 some times higher.
I need to get them down..
