97 E-150 Oil Pump

Got a 97 E-150 with 171k on the clock and the oil pressure suddenly started dropping and then coming back up. Stays up for several miles, then drops to nothing, may come back up, may not. It must be the oil pump. I thought it might be the sending unit, but finally got it where I could hear it and, sure enough, it starts clattering after a few minutes of no oil pressure. I'm in the process of selling the van--can anybody give me a ballpark figure on what it would cost to replace the oil pump???
