ambient temp range for 15w-40 use
What is the accepted temp range for 15w-40 oil use - I cannot seem to find a very consistent chart anywhere...
This would be in a gas engine with no block heater.

I've seen several charts and owner's manuals that list the temperature range of 15w40 from +5* to 120*.
Possibly hydroprocessed petroleum oil and certainly synthetic oil would lower the low temperature range.
