egr bypass

my egr valve went bad. is the bypass worth it what are the pros and cons. ford wants 450 to replace the egr that includes the labor. but for around 600 i was told i could by the bypass kit have my current egr cleaned and it will still work and the cooler would no longer cause me any problems. anyone done this. any advice my warranty ended like 6 months ago. its an 04 psd

Try searching the 6.0l forum. EGR issues are common on the 6.0l and I'm shure there are tons of old posts down there.

Silly's post does not warrant such a ignorant response. He was just making a point that maybe you have a duplicate post (which I believe one post could have been used in this case had you worded it properly) It is responses like yours here that make others not want to help newer people out with questions.

yeah sometimes I mean to post in 2 seperate forums and end up posting in one forum twice..it happens. But now that I know your character I hope you are able to find the info you request yourself.

well had you known the answer or had any input on the subject that would have gotten wrote in instead of what was written. so i think im ok
