Silly title, but I have been driving the Mustang all summer and the truck has been sitting. Just took a 700 mile round trip in the truck. Forgot how much I like it. Rides nice, comfortable seating position, can see out of it, tons of cruise range with the dual tanks. Did 15.74 MPG average running 75, zero issues except that it really doesn't like the nasty headwind it bucked for part of the trip! I knew I liked it, just kinda forgot how much!
Gonna treat it to a bath and an oil change this week! Maybe even vacuum the floormats (well, that might be pushing it..can't spoil it too much or it will want to stay home this winter!)
I know what you're talking about. I didn't realize how much I love my own truck until I drive something else. You know something? These old Ford's don't ride bad at all. My truck SHOULD ride bad with the lighter bed, stiffer front springs and sway bar (or does the sway bar help?) but she really does alright. It's a comfortable ride besides the bench seat. I really love these old Ford trucks. I drove an S-10 today and just yuck..

sway bar helps.
My truck is a pain in the *** at times, but its still in the driveway. Ive driven other trucks that are better, but they were fords too.
That's why I love my Raven. I drive my wife's Windstar, and I'm eep-eep. I drive Raven, and (pardon the quote, OMG!) 5 speed, 4 wheel drive.(Que Tim Taylor, Arrrrgghhh, Arrrggghhh, Arrgghh!!!)
Hey my truck is a PITA too sometimes.. Like every time I have to stop at the local fuel station. Talk about a real pain in the wallet.
There's always sometimes nicer out there but as long as you are happy with your rig, that's all that counts!
You been putting up any more youtube videos??
Nah, computer is all messed up and not letting me play youtube videos unless they are embedded on another website, and i suck at fixing computers.
Im thinking about cutting my losses with the truck, its just going to be a bottomless money pit if i keep fixing it. Im pretty sure my e40d is on its way out. I've probably put maybe 500 miles on it in the past 3 months. Who knows what will come of it, id like to try something different.
