I've just about had enough of not knowing about this. Is there any tell-tale signs I can look for that would point out my engine have been pulled before. The other day while taking my truck out for a little stretch, a couple friends asked what cam it had. As far as I know its stock but they think for sure its aftermarket. Anyway to tell without pulling the whole thing? I've been asked now like 15 times. Thanks
ps-I would have posted this in the engine forum but replies there take so flipping long.
You might be able to pull a valve cover and measure valve lift to see if it is more than stock. Not sure what stock lift on a 400 is though, hopefully someone could chime in on that one.
