So I recently got my 1999 F250 PS Diesel 4x4 about 4 days ago. I was advised when I got the truck it had a 3" block lift in the rear. How do I add one to the front? Should I? Should I not? The rear is higher and just want to level it out but like the height in the rear. Im new to the F250 world so I'm clueless and have tons of questions. thanks in advance.
The truck came stock with a roughly 2" tall block under the rear spring pack, as opposed to the roughly 4" block that came in the 350s. The easiest thing to do is an add-a-leaf spring pack for the front to raise it up about 2 inches, then the truck sits pretty close to level (assuming the springs haven't sagged really bad). You cannot use a block up front.
A 2" lift is about the cut off point before you have to start looking into redoing all the brake lines, shim the caster angle, and a few other things.
And where are you in DFW? I used to live up by the airport, right around Las Colinas in Irving.
Ya'll have an awesome tack shop out there, horse and rider or something like that east of town in a metal building. And the only Gebo's that I can remember seeing in DFW.
cheapest method for height in the front to level is out is the add-a-leafs as mentioned but it does increase the ride stiffness to some degree... make sure u look into that before u buy the cheapest set... more expensive ones should still offer better ride quality then cheapos...
