About a year ago i busted the D44 chunk in trhe IFS in my 93 f-150. I only busted the spider gears and the ring and pinion is fine. I ended up just putting a new chunk in it because my buddy had one laying around. So the busted chunk went to laying in my back yard. Well recently i busted the ring and pinino in the D44 straight axle in my 79 f-150 (mud truck). Question being will the good ring and pinion out of my 93 go in the D44 in the 79.

Checking against the broncograveyard listing, Yukon gear and axle listes the same catalog number for the 3.54 gear ratio in the 78-79 dana 44 reverse cut and the 1980-1996 dana 44 reverse cut ring and pinion gears. So take it for what its worth.
